Parts parts parts...

For the most part, all the tiny parts required for the valve job are on their way. Some from Sweden, some from Kentucky, and some from Australia.

UGH.

Minor set backs... maybe...

So last week the machine shop, whom is doing the valve job on my volvo's head, called to let me know that they couldn't get the correct parts for my engine... DAMN.

I've been spending the last week trying to track down the parts on the internet, and have been somewhat successful, but I cannot find valve stem keepers for the head. DAMN. Everything else I need has been ordered and will be on it's way and here by the end of next week probably.

If there's an off-chance that anyone would know where to find valve stem keepers for a '67 Volvo B18 engine, please let me know. I'm pretty desperate right now.

Hat's off.

Tappets were in great shape, piston heads look good, no scoring. Looking at the valve heads you can see how bad the blow by was. Best place for milling the valves is busy for the next 2 weeks :( so I will be doing other things in the mean time like remove pistons and put in new rings! Yaaaaaay.

The Swede.

This is my 1967 Volvo 122S. She's beautiful. I bought her from a gentleman who didn't have the time nor patience to keep this car going. I was more than happy to give her a loving home.

The Volvo drove very well up until this last fall when she started getting really bad blow-by. Because I was attending school, I lacked the funds and time to start fixing her. It's a different story now...

The current plan is to start pulling the head tomorrow and begin replacing the piston rings.
